I got my first application!

Good evening, good day, good morning, good afternoon, or good night. Whatever time you are reading my post — hi! 🙋‍♀️ I hope you are enjoying life and being kind. So, i was checking my email the other day as i always do. I have a “business” email where i take care of management type issues then i have the infamous “info” email. Since we’re not open yet i really don’t have much traffic coming through that address. I noticed i had a three (3) in my notifications. I went to open the emails thinking it would be some type of solicitation but much to my surprise it was a job inquiry. It took me a second to realize what i was looking at because i wasn’t expecting it. I have not advertised or mentioned anything so this was totally unexpected and a great surprise. Without disclosing too much all i can say is i was so so so pleasantly surprised! I did make contact with the applicants. They were kind, eager and just as excited about coffee as i am. I asked how they even knew i was hiring. My website! Yay! How awesome is that. Initiative… i’m already impressed.

Admittedly, I have been so consumed with the build out and my barista training that i forgot about the employer aspect of my journey. I do believe that becoming a employer is a big responsibility and i do not take it lightly. I am excited to meet new people whom in another life i would have never come in contact with. Now, we can share a coffee journey together. I know that there will be aches and growing pains with this as well. I am by no means oblivious to that. I just choose to look forward and focus on the good instead. Encourage, Inspire, peace. Not only will 54 be that environment but my team members will experience that same encouragement, inspiration and peacefulness too. If not, then they gots to go! Bye Felecia! … just kidding… or am I ? 😂 I’m kidding. Anyway, i just wanted to stop by and share. I’m actually listening to music as i type this.
